I know what it's like to deal with the various changes that happen once you are responsible for other people work, especially because at some point in time you worked with them

I believe most managers are set up to fail, not because they lack ability, but because they’re given responsibility without real support.

Companies promote strong performers into management roles and expect them to figure it out. Little guidance. No space to talk honestly. And almost nothing that prepares them for the hardest part of the job: managing people, especially when those people used to be your colleagues or friends.

Managers have an enormous impact on people’s lives. A good manager can build confidence, clarity, and momentum. A bad one, often unintentionally, can do lasting damage. I’ve experienced both. And those experiences are a big reason I do this work.

I’ve been a manager myself. I know what it’s like when the dynamic shifts overnight, when you’re suddenly responsible for people you used to sit beside, joke with, or vent to. When you’re trying to lead well but don’t want to become distant, controlling, or someone you don’t recognize. When everything feels awkward, and no one tells you what “good” actually looks like anymore.

The demands on managers have changed. Today’s managers are expected to deliver results and manage emotions, relationships, and culture, often without training or support. That gap is where many capable managers struggle, quietly.

My work is driven by a simple goal: help managers do better.
Not by becoming perfect leaders but by becoming clear, confident, and human leaders. The kind people trust. The kind teams want to follow.
